ANTHROPOCENE CAMPUS LISBOA: PARALLAX // 6-11 JAN @Culturgest. 2020

O Anthropocene Campus Lisboa: Parallax (ACL: Parallax), foi um workshop imersivo de seis dias organizado pelo Centro Interuniversitário de História das Ciências e da Tecnologia (CIUHCT) através do grupo ligado ao projecto Anthropolands. Teve lugar na Culturgest, em Lisboa, entre os dias 6 e 11 de Janeiro de 2020. Este campus faz parte do projecto internacional Anthropocene Curriculum, liderado pela Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) e pelo Max Planck Institut for the History of Science (MPIWG), que organizaram 2 campus em Berlim (2014 e 2016) e que apoiaram um conjunto de grupos de investigação na organização de outros campi em todo o mundo. Foram parte deste Anthropocene Curriculum worldwide os Anthropocene Campus em Lyon (França), Chicago. Filadélfia, Montreal, Melbourne, Mumbai, Nova Orleães/Mississipi e Lisboa). A fase 1 do Anthropocene Curriculum será encerrada em Berlim, em Outubro de 2020.

O Anthropocene Campus Lisboa seguiu o modelo dos campi de Berlim, ou seja, teve 6 seminários (dos quais os 3 do grupo Systems of Social and Technological Organization Anthropogenic Landscapes of Inequality, Dating Datafication? History, Epistemology and Politics of Big Data e Repoliticizing the Anthropocene — versavam sobre aspectos específicos da investigação do projecto Anthropolands).

Todos os seminários tiveram, para além do organizador, um ou dois convenors convidados especialistas no tema. O campus, cuja inscrição se fez mediante selecção de propostas de investigação, teve a presença de 60 participantes de 18 países. Como keynote speakers, o Anthropocene Campus Lisboa teve os Professores Scott Knowles (Universidade de Drexel, E.U.A.) e Dipesh Chakrabarty (Universidade de Chicago, E.U.A.).

Anthropocene Campus Lisboa: Parallax

The Anthropocene Campus Lisboa: Parallax (ACL: Parallax), was an immersive 6 days-workshop organized by the team members of the project Anthropolands hosted from 2016-2019 in the Portuguese research unite Interuniversity Center for the History of Science and Technology (CIUHCT) . It took place at Culturgest in Lisbon, Portugal, between 6 and 11 January 2020. This campus is part of the Anthropocene Curriculum project led by the Haus der Kulturen der Welt (HKW) and the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG) that organized two Anthropocene Campus in Berlin (2014, 2016) and supported a set of campi worldwide (Lyon (France), Chicago. Philadelphia, Montreal, Melbourne, Mumbai, New Orleans/Mississipi e Lisboa). Phase 1 of the Anthropocene Curriculum will close in Berlin in October 2020. The Anthropocene Campus Lisboa-Parallax followed the model of the Berlin campi, that is, it had 6 seminars (of which the 3 from the Systems of Social and Technological Organization group – Anthropogenic Landscapes of Inequality, Dating Datafication? History, Epistemology and Politics of Big Data and Repoliticizing the Anthropocene – focused on specific aspects of the Anthropolands’ research project. All seminars had, in addition to the organizer, one or two invited convenors specialists on the subject. The selection of participants was based on research proposals sent to the organization; the Anthropocene Campus Lisboa-Parallax was attended by 60 participants from 18 countries. As keynote speakers, the Anthropocene Campus Lisboa hosted Professors Scott Knowles (Drexel University, USA) and Dipesh Chakrabarty (Chicago University, USA).
